SHANGHAI – SAIC-GM-Wuling today launched the all-new Wuling Star compact SUV, which comes equipped with the Wuling brand's new-generation Super Fuel System as well as a range of exciting interior and exterior features.
The Wuling Star’s 2.0L engine is complemented by a high-performance battery with 130 kW of maximum power and an electric motor that generates 320 Nm of maximum torque. It can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in a speedy 3.2 seconds. The compact SUV’s electromagnetic dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) offers precise shifting and supports fuel consumption as low as 5.5 liters/100 km under WLTC test conditions.
The Wuling Star’s length of 4,610 mm, width of 1,810 mm, height of 1,670 mm and wheelbase of 2,700 mm support a roomy interior and a user-friendly design. The largest panoramic sunroof in its segment adds to the airy feeling, while the slightly raised back seats provide all occupants a pleasant view of the road ahead.
The ground clearance of 178 mm and cargo space of up to 1,487 liters with the seats in back folded down make the Wuling Star ideal for both urban commuting and family trips. Users will also enjoy the multifunctional steering wheel, comfortable seats, large screen on the center console and premium materials.
Living up to its name, the Wuling Star’s stylish exterior has headlights with the class-exclusive meteor shower-like light show function. It also comes with LED lighting throughout the interior. As a special feature, customers can tailor their Wuling Star with customized color-changing films from the Wuling Ultra Film Factory to reflect their personality.
