Wuling today launched the all-new Xingguang 560, refreshing China’s mainstream mid-size SUV segment with a boxy, rugged-styled design, efficiently packaged interior space and a choice of gasoline, plug-in hybrid and pure electric powertrains.
Designed for versatile everyday use, Xingguang 560 combines an upright SUV stance with practical capability to support family travel, daily commuting and a wide range of real-world driving scenarios. The lineup comprises four variants across three powertrain options, with introductory launch benefit pricing ranging from RMB 59,800 to RMB 95,800.
Boxy, rugged-styled design
Xingguang 560 features a strong, upright silhouette that emphasizes presence and confidence. Powertrain-specific front-end designs distinguish gasoline, PHEV and EV variants, while the Xingguang family’s “X” lighting signature and clean body surfacing reinforce a modern SUV identity.
Exterior finishes use eight-layer coating processes designed to enhance durability, wear resistance and long-term color consistency.
Efficiently packaged mid-size space
With dimensions of 4,745 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,755 mm in height, and a 2,810 mm wheelbase, Xingguang 560 delivers high space efficiency through its boxy proportions and upright design.
Interior highlights include:
- A wide cabin layout with generous legroom for both front and rear passengers
- A second row that folds flat, to create a nearly 2-meter-long continuous surface
- Up to 1,945 liters of expandable cargo capacity
- A dual-layer trunk and more than 25 storage compartments, including a hidden storage space beneath the rear seats
The interior layout is designed to adapt seamlessly between passenger comfort, cargo transport and leisure use.
Three powertrain options for diverse driving needs
Xingguang 560 is offered with gasoline, plug-in hybrid and pure electric powertrains, allowing customers to select the solution that best matches their usage patterns.
- Gasoline: Powered by a 1.5T turbocharged engine delivering up to best-in-class 290 N·m of torque, paired with either a CVT or a 6-speed manual transmission. The setup provides confident performance under load and on inclines, with WLTC combined fuel consumption as low as 6.99 L/100 km.
- Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV): Delivers a WLTC combined range of up to 1,100 km, the only model in the price segment to reach this level, with WLTC fuel consumption of 5.3 L/100 km in charge-sustaining mode.
- Pure Electric (EV): Offers up to 500 km CLTC range, energy consumption of 13.1 kWh/100 km, and 2C fast-charging capability, supporting efficient daily driving and convenient recharging.
All variants are built on SAIC-GM-Wuling’s latest vehicle platform and feature independent front and rear suspension, combining MacPherson struts with a multi-link rear suspension to enhance ride comfort, stability and NVH performance in urban and highway conditions.
Safety as a core engineering priority
Safety is a core focus in the development of Xingguang 560. The vehicle features a high-strength steel cage body, with high-strength steel accounting for up to 74.9% of the structure. Key load-bearing areas incorporate 1,500 MPa hot-formed steel to enhance occupant protection.
Additional safety features include:
- Reinforced front and rear crash beams with energy-absorbing structures
- Battery systems with large-scale production validation and a record of zero spontaneous combustion incidents
- Intelligent lighting with dual-lens headlights offering up to 190 meters of high-beam illumination, and standard cornering assistance lighting across all variants
