Vincent Wong was appointed executive vice president of SAIC-GM-Wuling, effective April 1, 2024. Based in Liuzhou, Guangxi, he is responsible for the joint venture’s overall business strategy and operations to ensure its success.

Wong began his career with General Motors in 2010 and has held a broad range of roles in Australia, the U.S., Korea and China (Shanghai and Liuzhou).

After joining GM Holden in Australia as operations controller, he moved to the U.S. as senior manager, Close and Consolidation, for GM in 2012. He later served as controller and director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at GM Korea. In 2016, Wong moved to GM China as director of FP&A, before becoming vice president and chief financial officer of SAIC-GM-Wuling two years later.

Wong returned to Shanghai as chief financial officer of GM China in 2022. Prior to taking his current position, he served as GM China vice president of Corporate Development and Global Mergers & Acquisitions from 2023.

Wong began his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in Singapore and Australia in 2000.

Wong has a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. In 2022, Wong was awarded honorary citizenship of Liuzhou for his outstanding contributions to the city’s economic development.
