Cadillac today announced a series of special benefits for customers in China who place an order for the LYRIQ electric vehicle. The package, which includes free charging and a lifetime warranty on the vehicle and its electric propulsion system1, will apply to initial LYRIQ owners.
“Demand for the LYRIQ has been tremendous since presales began late last year,” said Chris Biggs, vice president of Cadillac in China. “As we approach the start of taking orders, we expect the special benefits announced today to keep up the momentum and ensure our customers enjoy an unmatched luxury EV experience.”
Cadillac will offer a broad range of free-of-charge charging solutions to those who purchase the LYRIQ to help eliminate range anxiety. They include three years of free public charging up to 1,200 kilometers per month through Cadillac’s national charging network. This will support an estimated 55 kilometers of average weekday travel.
In addition, Cadillac will offer the free installation of home-charging poles2. Those without a need for home charging will receive an additional 8,000 kilometers of free public charging over three years as an alternative.
Additional customer benefits for the purchase of a LYRIQ include:
- An incentive of up to RMB 15,000 for those who trade in their old vehicle for a LYRIQ through authorized channels.
- The choice of three additional exterior colors without extra charge3.
- Generous Cadillac IQ App reward points for purchase, vehicle pick-up and Cadillac engagement activities.
- 50G of free 5G connectivity data service annually. An additional 100G of free data service4 will be offered to enhance premium connectivity, such as 4K HD movies and a high-quality audio experience.
- Over-the-air updates of systems and technology throughout the product lifecycle to ensure the vehicle remains up to date over time.
- Dedicated EV service, including velvet-charging service5, three years of free emergency assistance, chauffeur service6 and free lifetime vehicle inspections.
Selected special benefits are limited to those who complete a binding order before March 31, 2023.
Pre-production of the LYRIQ in China started in early May at the Cadillac plant in Shanghai. Deliveries of the LYRIQ, Cadillac’s first electric vehicle developed on the Ultium platform, will begin in the middle of this year to domestic customers.
