SHANGHAI – Buick today announced the upcoming introduction of an all-new compact SUV in China. The Encore Plus represents Buick’s latest entry for the domestic market’s most popular passenger car segment.
The Encore Plus adopts the latest Buick design language along with a roomy interior, segment-leading intelligent connectivity and a powerful propulsion system. It is tailored for the younger generation and urban families who value a stylish, functional and fun driving experience.
Inspired by Buick’s PURE Design philosophy, the Encore Plus is characterized by youthful and dynamic styling. It incorporates the new face of the brand exemplified by a modernized wing-shaped front fascia, a layered grille and all-new spread-wing LED headlamps that are slim and crisp. Its sleek and sculptural surfacing offers improved aerodynamics. Dual five-spoke aluminum wheels, high ground clearance and an underbody panel reinforce the sporty dynamics and overall functionality.
The roomy interior has a highly efficient layout that accommodates segment-leading legroom for the second row, a segment-only flat floor in back and 29 purposefully designed storage areas. The compact SUV’s 60/40 split second row seats can be folded flat for up to 1,384 liters of storage space.
The flowing wraparound cockpit in the Encore Plus is adorned with soft leather surfaces highlighted by premium materials and sophisticated craftsmanship. The French-style double stitching, high-gloss black piano accents and chrome detailing further accentuate the warm and inviting interior.
The Encore Plus’s digital cockpit system comes with a large dual 10.25-inch HD screen that integrates the instrument cluster and touchscreen center display. The latest generation of the Buick eConnect connectivity system has been optimized with enhanced intelligent voice assistance, on-board navigation, and multi-media content featuring smooth and intuitive operation.
Buick has found success offering premium SUVs and cars with sculptural designs, refined performance, modern interiors and thoughtful personal technologies. Buick’s award-winning customer service and sales experience, along with the Avenir trim, the highest expression of Buick luxury, are attracting new buyers to experience Buick’s unique approach to attainable luxury in North America and China.
