The Durant Guild Elevates Premium Segments with Tahoe, Yukon, HUMMER EV, Corvette at 2024 China International Import Expo and Beyond

SHANGHAI – The Durant Guild, General Motors’ premium import business and lifestyle platform in China, will present three halo models at the 2024 China International Import Expo (CIIE) starting tomorrow. The annual event, now in its seventh year, has inspired the company to explore endless possibilities of automotive lifestyles together with consumers and turn its exhibits into products for sale in the domestic market.
The CIIE Effect
Since the inaugural event in 2018, numerous GM halo products have made their China debut at CIIE. The overwhelmingly positive feedback prompted GM to launch The Durant Guild in 2022.
The Durant Guild, born out of CIIE, is now leading the company’s efforts to explore untapped niche markets in China beyond the annual event. In August, it opened its first Brand Center in Shanghai and launched its first product, the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe, which is featured at this year’s expo.
“CIIE has afforded us an invaluable platform to explore growth opportunities in China,” said Steve Hill, GM senior vice president and president of GM China. “From making China premieres to opening The Durant Guild’s first store, GM has turned exhibits into products for sale as we focus on bringing our best models, technologies, and services to customers here.”
The GMC Yukon, a full-size luxury SUV that was met with enthusiasm by CIIE visitors in past years, will be imported by The Durant Guild later this year, marking the GMC brand’s official entry into the Chinese market.
Meanwhile, The Durant Guild is expanding its footprint nationwide to capitalize on the spillover effect of CIIE. By early next year, it will have seven Brand Centers and 14 Experience and Service Centers in major tier-one and tier-two cities across China to reach out to a broader audience.

The Durant Guild Lineup at CIIE
The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe is the latest generation of the long-time best-selling full-size SUV nameplate in the United States. It inherits the spirit of the world’s first SUV, the Chevrolet Suburban Carryall. The initial product from The Durant Guild has a spacious interior and all-terrain performance, and provides an all-scenario driving experience. The Tahoe is available in two trims in China: the Classic priced at RMB 648,000, and the High Country priced at RMB 728,000. Both variants feature a bold design, a spacious three-row, true seven-seat configuration, and robust off-road prowess through body-on-frame construction. It is the only model in the segment to offer both a four-corner adaptive air suspension and Magnetic Ride Control (MRC), for optimal handling and a smooth ride across any terrain.
The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is an all-American performance vehicle boasting high speed, extraordinary performance, cutting-edge technology, and exciting styling. Powered by a 6.2L LT2 V8 engine paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Corvette produces up to 495 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque with the Z51 Performance Package. Its mid-engine layout, the first for a production Corvette, optimizes weight distribution and handling, making it a true performer both on the road and on the racetrack.
